Even though we can visually identify First-Order Transfer Function parameters, we need to understand that it is sometimes not that simple to identify them as accurate and precise enough to be used in real processes, so there is a need for more advanced ways to identify them.
In this video, we will see how simple it is by doing it in the best system identification software PITOPS. We will first use our SIMCET software to simulate a few step tests of the first-order process and then import process data to PITOPS system identification software, as it would be done in the control room.
